A theatre director and creator, Jane creates work that responds to two strands: New Zealand identity, specifically how New Zealanders deal (or fail to deal) with cultural identity. The other strand is grief, memory, and loss. Jane uses a combination of genres and theatrical forms to investigate these themes: comedy, satire, and psychological thriller.
In her spare time Jane works as a Creative Catalyst at Te Taumata Toi-a-Iwi. She is also a 2020 ISPA Global Fellow.
In 2017 Jane received a Fulbright General Graduate Award and graduated in 2019 with a Masters of Arts Politics at NYU: Tisch School of Arts.
In 2015 she graduated with a Master of Theatre Arts (MTA) in Directing from Victoria University and Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School.
